Donate items for auction

Food in Fashion includes both a live auction and large silent auction. We plan to have 60 silent auction packages and two live auction packages for 2019.

Silent auction items that tend to generate the highest bids are related to dining, fashion, entertainment, sports, travel and home. We ask that all items donated for auction have a fair market value of at least $50 and be new. Donors will be listed on our bid sheets and website.

Live auction items that will generate the most funds for our beneficiaries tend to be vacation, airfare, hotel, and entertainment packages.

We do not accept auction donations that will require the recipient to also make a purchase.

All donations for the 2019 live and silent auction should be received by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association by March 13, 2019.

For your records, proceeds from Food in Fashion benefit the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) charitable non-profit. The TRAEF's tax ID is 74-2732907.

Food in Fashion will be presented by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, Monday, Mar. 18, 2019, at The Joule, Dallas.

Proceeds benefit career-development programs in the restaurant and hospitality industries.

Our primary beneficiary is the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation. A 501 (c)(3) charitable non-profit [Tax ID: 74-2732907], TRAEF sponsors ProStart, a restaurant workforce-development program in public schools.

A portion of proceeds will also be donated to El Centro College's Food and Hospitality Institute and CitySquare's WorkPaths Hospitality Training Program.
