About food in fashion

Sponsored by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, Food in Fashion invests in public high school culinary career education.

Cuisine and couture collide Wednesday, February 7, 2018, when Food in Fashion returns to 3015 at Trinity Groves from 6-9 p.m. 3015 at Trinity Groves is located at 3015 Gulden Lane, at the west end of Dallas' iconic Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

For Food in Fashion, 15 emerging fashion designers partner with restaurants and restaurant industry businesses. Together, they create fashions for 15 models in a Project Runway-like show.

WFAA-TV personality Ron Corning  will emcee the fashion show. Ivy Jane CEO Frances MalikNation's Restaurant News' Ron Ruggless, and Kim Lawrie of Forty Five Ten will be our fashion show judges.

Ten percent or more of each fashion must come out of the restaurant business ... whether edible or not.

Additionally, members of the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees team with Dallas ISD high school culinary career students to prepare appetizers in a friendly little Chopped-style competition.

Guests will savor additional appetizers from The Joule, Wheelhouse, Sassetta, Sushiya, Cheescake Royale and 3015 at Trinity Groves. Among beverage options will be a signature cocktail from Tito's Handmade Vodka

Event guests are encouraged to accessorize from out of the kitchen. Drinks, a silent auction (also served up online), one fantastic live auction package, and haute music by Durty Laundry round out the occasion.

Hosted by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, proceeds from Food in Fashion benefit the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation and its Texas ProStart culinary career program ... where we are cultivating the next generation of restaurateurs.
