Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation

Primary beneficiary

The Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation was established by the Texas Restaurant Association in 1994 as a 501c3 non-profit organization, to focus on providing the necessary resources to help restaurateurs confront educational and labor challenges with the latest innovations in education, technology, and training.

The TRA Education Foundation’s mission is to provide educational opportunities to build and maintain a strong professional foodservice workforce in Texas.

Texas ProStart

Primary beneficiary

Texas ProStart prepares students for careers in the restaurant and foodservice industry. They gain valuable restaurant and foodservice skills through their academic and workplace experience.

Sponsored by the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation, Texas ProStart takes high school culinary and restaurant management to the next level by providing the full support of the Texas restaurant industry to over 255 high schools reaching over 20,000 students each year.

Virgin Unite

Virgin Unite is the entrepreneurial foundation of the Virgin Group and the Branson family. Virgin Unite was started with the aim of bringing people together to encourage them never to accept the unacceptable, to turn challenges into opportunities and to always push boundaries that make both business and the world better.

Overheads are covered by Richard Branson and the Virgin Group, meaning that 100% of all donations received go directly to initiatives created or supported.

The goal is to unite people and entrepreneurial ideas to create opportunities for a better world. There are so many challenges facing the world today, but Virgin Unite believes that by bringing the right people together and taking an entrepreneurial approach, we can create positive change.
